Releasy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application at releasyai.com (the "Service").

We collect the following types of information:

  • OAuth Tokens: We store encrypted OAuth2 refresh tokens from Reddit and GitHub to perform authorized actions on your behalf.
  • GitHub Public Metadata: Repository names, README files, commit messages, and publicly visible project information.
  • Reddit Account Information: Your Reddit username (obtained via OAuth) to identify where posts are submitted.
  • Scheduled Post Data: Post titles, bodies, target subreddits, and scheduled times that you create within the Service.
  • Email Address: For account recovery and service notifications (optional).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Generate marketing posts based on your GitHub releases and commits
  • Submit posts to Reddit on your behalf when you explicitly approve them
  • Store and manage your scheduled posts queue
  • Improve and personalize the Service
  • Communicate with you about your account and updates

4. Data Storage & Security

  • All OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our PostgreSQL database (Supabase)
  • We use HTTPS for all data transmission
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data
  • Tokens are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity
  • We do not store your Reddit or GitHub passwords

5. What We Do NOT Do

  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers
  • We never clone or store your private source code
  • We never post without explicit approval from you
  • We never perform vote manipulation or any action that violates Reddit's platform rules

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@releasyai.com. Upon account deletion, all OAuth tokens and personal data are permanently removed within 7 days.

7. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • GitHub: For repository access and webhook triggers
  • Reddit: For submitting posts via their official API
  • Supabase: For secure database hosting
  • Stripe: For payment processing (we do not store payment card details)

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored by Releasy
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Revoke OAuth access at any time through Reddit/GitHub settings
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
