By accessing or using Releasy ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Releasy is a web application that helps developers automate marketing for their GitHub projects by generating and scheduling promotional posts to Reddit. Users connect their GitHub and Reddit accounts via OAuth2 to enable automated post generation based on commit activity.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Releasy, you agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with Reddit's Content Policy and User Agreement
  • Not use the Service for spam, vote manipulation, or any form of platform abuse
  • Only post content that you have the right to share
  • Respect subreddit rules and community guidelines
  • Review and approve each post before it is submitted
  • Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or API restrictions

4. Reddit Platform Compliance

Releasy is designed to be fully compliant with Reddit's API Terms of Service:

  • We use the official Reddit OAuth2 API for all interactions
  • Posts are only submitted when explicitly approved by the user
  • We respect Reddit's rate limits (≈5 requests/minute per user)
  • We do not perform any vote manipulation or artificial engagement
  • We do not scrape or harvest data beyond authorized API use

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, Reddit's policies, or engage in abusive behavior. Users may also delete their account at any time, which will remove all stored data.

6. Limitation of Liability

Releasy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any actions taken by Reddit or GitHub regarding your account, including bans or suspensions that may result from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
